I can be contacted for additional information or to schedule appointments, but before you decide to take this step, please review the following:
- Office appointments can only be scheduled by calling my office: (212) 427-3556.
- My fees reflect my training and experience.
- I do not accept Medicare insurance, nor do I work for any managed care organizations (HMO's) and am therefore considered an"out-of-network provider" by the HMO's.
- While I am qualified as a psychiatrist to sign insurance forms, patients pay me a fee for service directly. I then sign their insurance/HMO forms and they are then reimbursed directly by the third party payer. The amount reimbursed depends on the extent to which they pay for outpatient psychotherapy. I advise my patients to inquire directly with their insurer regarding the details of their policy.
A consultation is a good way to decide what your comfort and trust levels are with me. We interview each other and both get a first hand sense of whether I can help you. Since the process has too many intangibles, we often may agree to an initial trial of a limited number of sessions (short-term, theme-focused) and then reassess where we are.
